And that's what you call food porn.

In my last semester of college, I took a blogging class for fun. It's the reason this blog exists. Today some of my professor's wisdom rings true: "We all become food bloggers eventually."

Swordfish Milanese

On Labor Day I went to The Tasting Room in old town Frederick, MD, tried their Swordfish Milanese, and practically died of happiness. So did my boyfriend because in addition to the fact that everything on my plate always magically tastes better than whatever he ordered, it was truly amazing--fresh, rich, crispy, lemony, and even potato-y. So on our weekly grocery excursion, I (the penny-pincher in the relationship) brought a list of ingredients for some old standby recipes, and Byron, being more adventurous, brought this.

Highly recommend. We just used a prepackaged herb mix salad rather than arugula alone because we couldn't find it, and we also left out the watercress because neither of us had any idea what it was (aside from my vague memory of it being mentioned in E.B. White's The Trumpet of the Swan). No worse for the wear; it was still delicious and not very difficult to make.

Tune in next time for our regularly scheduled programming.
